NOSTALGIC ESCAPISM (on going)

As we grow up (and go to therapy) we encounter certain memories that take us to a safe space, comforting us and making us cope with troublesome times. These images represent those thought processes when we recur to 'better times'.

Through this mixed media series I tap into collective imagery of Spanish culture (brands that have been with us forever, a typical Spanish breakfast), a collective nostalgia that we constantly try to grasp as a comforting thought in a period of our life where everything is changing and we try to reconnect with ourselves
